Busy weekend was busy. Friday I spent a good part of the day getting stuff ready for the 4th. That basically entailed cleaning out coolers, getting more fireworks and buying more food and stuff for the barbeque.
After that was done, a bunch of us went go-carting at this indoor go-cart/arcade place that's kinda like Chuck E Cheese for big kids; which is what I am. :3 That was fun, even though my younger brothers kicked my butt at almost everything I challenged them to. >.>;; No redemption for Tiffy that day.
After a few hours
Saturday my family and a bunch of our friends and neighbors went to the lake for our "11th Annual Independence Day BBQ."
We were supposed to be there at 1:00 pm, but my group was lated and didn't get there until about 2:30. I almost missed out on my aunt's yummy peach cobbler, which is my favorite, but managed to get one of the last pieces. Yay me! There was sooo much food, and naturally I eat way to much, but whose complaining?
The only bad thing about yesterday is that it was 102 degrees out there. Way to hot. So most of us spent a good amount of time in the water jet skiing and swimming and such. We had a few jet ski races and I came in second three times and fourth once. XD
When it stared getting dark, we set off some fireworks until the real show stated at 9:00. We had a really good view of the Dallas fireworks display from the lake. It was as beautiful as alway and had my inner pyro cackling like a maniac. When that was over, we pretty much packed up went home. It was a really great day.
Today was much more laid back. There were tons of leftovers that needed to be dealt with, and dealt with they were. >:3
We went to the movies again. We saw Transformers in IMAX. It was everything you'd expect from a summer blockbuster, and since it was in IMAX, all the 'splodey parts were even splodey-er, thus raising the enjoyment factor. Shia Lebouf amused me, and there were some pretty funny parts. Bumblebee is still my favorite transforming robotic alien ever~ X3
Then I came home and took a nap. XD
So that's how I spent my weekend. I'm exhausted.
